A-ha have kicked off their ‘Hunting High and Low Live’ World tour with a brace of Irish dates, performing to around 20,000 fans in Dublin and Belfast. Taking to the stage at Belfast’s SSE Arena on Wednesday night (20th October 2019) for the 2nd show of the short stop, the Norwegians wowed the crowd, playing their iconic debut in full, as well as some of their biggest hits from across their catalogue.

Papa Roach, on the back of their largest headlining tour to date in USA and massive arena tours with Shinedown, have announced a run of 2020 European dates. Joining the nu metal linchpins for the trek will be Hollywood Undead.
Following on from 2019's Glenn Hughes headed event, the re-branded Stonedead Festival has announced Black Star Riders, Tyketto, Blaze Bayley and more, for the 2020 happening. Billed as a one day, one stage, monster of a festival, the event will once again take place at Newark Showgrounds, on Sat 29th August, 2020.
Saxon's Biff Byford has set 21st February 2020 as the release date for his first ever solo album. Titled 'School of Hard Knocks', the set has been proceeded by the track 'Welcome to the Show', the video for which can be viewed below.
Don Dokken, Joe Satriani, and Geoff Tate will be inducted into the 2020 Metal Hall Fame, at it's Annual non-profit charity Gala, The Hall of Heavy Metal History. The Gala will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, California. The event comes during the annual NAMM Show week which sees the music industry gather in the Los Angeles area for the largest expo if its' kind in the world.
Following on from the critically acclaimed and commercially successful fifth year in 2019, Ramblin’ Man Fair returns in 2020! This year the festival will take place on the 17th, 18th and 19th July, with Hawkwind set to headline the Grooverider Stage, and a host of other acts announced today.
Everclear main man Art Alexakis finally made it to Dublin for a solo show at The Sound House on Sunday night (20th October 2019). The gig, which came after a long wait for fans, followed cancelled appearances by his band in 2000 and 2013, and saw the singer get up close and personal for the fanatical gathering.
D-A-D head to the UK at the start of their European tour in November and December, to play a couple of shows in Manchester and London, with special guests Hangarvain supporting. The band have also released a video for the song 'A Prayer for The Loud'.
Parlophone Records will continue their reissues series of the IRON MAIDEN catalogue with the fourth and final set of Digipak CD titles in The Studio Collection – Remastered, to be released on November 22nd. The albums are Dance Of Death / A Matter Of Life And Death / The Final Frontier and The Book Of Souls.
Black Star Riders returned to Dublin on Wednesday (16th October 2019) for a double dose of action, with a full throttle show at the Academy as well as an earlier acoustic set and meet and greet with fans at the nearby Tower Records. The shows came as the band kicked off their latest tour in support of new album ‘Another State of Grace’.
