Geoff Tate has brought his ‘Building An Empire’ acoustic tour to a close, with a festive show in Belfast. Taking to the stage in the city for only the third time in a more than three decade career, the singer fittingly ended the run at the Empire Music Hall.

The rock and metal community led by Orange Goblin frontman Ben Ward, has come together in support of the former staff at Team Rock, raising over £52,000 in a matter of days. Publisherr of Classic Rock Magazine, Metal Hammer, and Prog Magazine, the company shockingly went into administration on 19th December, leaving 73 people out of work and facing an uncertain future. Almost twenty-five years after they were first eligable for inclusion, and fifty since thir formation, legendary progressive rock outfit Yes are to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame. Red Hot Chili Peppers have postponed their imminent Dublin Shows due to illness. Due to take place tomorrow (20th December) and Wednesday (21st), the gigs will now take place in September 2017.  Alice Cooper is set to return to the U.K. for his first headline tour since 2012. Annihilator, Skindred and Municipal Waste have been added to the line-up for 2017's Bloodstock Open Air. Taking place from 10 - 13 August, at Catton Park, Derbyshire, the trio join already announced headliners Amon Amarth, along with Blind Guardian, Testament and others for the Midland's metal event.  Anthrax have released a video promoting their upcoming 2017 U.K. and European tour, featuring drummer Charlie Benente. The Big Four legends are set to play their entire 'Among The Living' album during the dates, celebrating its 30th anniversary with the special shows dubbed 'Among The Kings - An Evening With Anthrax'.  Vivan Campbell has revealed how Soundgarden heavily influenced Def Leppard as they were recording their 1996 album ‘Slang’. Richie Blackmore is set to tour the U.K. in 2017, with Rainbow confirming four dates that includes a headline appearance at Stone Free Festival in London. The June dates follow on from the guitarist's triumphant sold-out show at the Birmingham Genting Arena earlier this year.  Steve Harris’ British Lion roared into Belfast on Tuesday night (6th December), for the final date of their European tour. With a set bursting with passion, spirit, and high energy classic rock, the Iron Maiden bassist proved that there is plenty of life in his musical output away from his day job.
