Details of this years' Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards have been announced, with Hatebreed front man Jamey Jasta set to host the evening. Returning to the Indigo at The O2 venue, the Golden Gods takes place immediately following Download festival, on Monday, June 11 capping off what is always the UK's biggest weekend in rock and metal.

In a pleasing day for acronyms, UFO have been confirmed for 2019's HRH AOR Festival. Joining them on the bill for the Hard Rock Hell event are Tyketto, former Survivor vocalist Dave Bickler, and a whole host of others. Cambridge's Hottest New Festival Returns As Ginger Wildheart & Andy Cairns Go Subterranean.28/3/2018 Cambridge's hottest new festival is set to return for it's sophomore year, with Therapy?'s Andy Cairns and Wildhearts' main man Ginger set to headline the event. Taking place on Saturday 15th September, Subterranean is a 12-hour music marathon in the the confines of Cambridge's Corn Exchange.  Def Leppard have announced the first of a series of career-spanning box sets, with the release of 'Volume One' confirmed for 1st June 2018. Covering the band's formative years and rise to international stardom, the set comprises the albums 'On Through The Night', 'High 'N' Dry', 'Pyromania' and 'Hysteria', as well as bonus material.  With less than three months to go, Download Festival is getting ready to rumble as a further twenty-one acts have been announced, as well as the return of the ever-popular WWE NXT Wrestling to the popular metal fest. The latest additions joining headliners Avenged Sevenfold, Guns 'N' Roses and Ozzy Osbourne for the event which takes place from 8th - 10th June 2018 at Donington Park, Leicestershire.  Bloodstock have expanded the line-up to this year's BOA Festival with the announcement that six more bands have joined the bill. Headlined by Gojira, Judas Priest and Nightwish, this years' event takes place from 9th - 12th August at Catton Park, Derbyshire.  Trash rockers Warrior Soul, blues guitarist Jarred James Nichols, and a host of others have been added to the line-up for this years' Stone Free Festival. Returning for a third year to the O2 arena in London, The Scorpions, Megadeth, and Yes featuring ARW head up the event which takes place on 16th - 17th June 2018.  Sepultura have celebrated twenty years with front man Derrick Green with an incendiary show at Dublin’s Tivoli Theatre on Thursday night (15th March 2018).
