Electric Picnic 2019 has kicked off, with star turns from a homecoming Billie Eilish and Hozier, and Jarvis Cocker on the first day. Taking place from 30th August to 1st September in Stradbally, Co.Laois, Electric Picnic is Ireland's largest music and arts festival.

​The second Stonedeaf Festival has taken place in Nottinghamshire, with Phil Campbell, Geoff Tate, and headliner Glenn Hughes among the acts gracing the stage at Newark Showgrounds. Taking place on Saturday (24th August 2019), this year’s line-up was capped with glorious sunshine, and a flyover by the stunning Battle of Britain plane from the nearby the RAF Conningsby airbase.

Foo Fighters have stormed Leeds Festival with one of the most fun filled, hits packed performances of the summer. Appearing at the opening night of the annual event, which was held at Branham park from Fri 23rd - Sat 25th August 2019, Dave Grohl and co were joined by a Freddy Mercury lookalike, Grohl's daughter Violet, and a paraglider on what was one of the hottest nights of the year.

Whitesnake's Slip of the Tongue is getting the remastered reissue treatment. Slip of the Tongue: 30th Anniversary Edition will be available on October 4. The 6CD/DVD collection includes a newly remastered version of the album, plus unreleased studio recordings, audio and video of the band’s performance at the 1990 Monsters of Rock festival.

It was a feast of nostalgia in Henley on Thames this past weekend, as Rewind South returned to the banks of the Thames for a fun-fuelled three-day extravaganza of music, reminiscing, outrageous costumes and more. Taking place from Friday 16th – Sunday 18th August 2019, this year’s acts included The Four Tops, Belinda Carlisle, and last-minute replacement headliners The Waterboys.
