EXCLUSIVE: Joe Satriani has praised Deep Purple for hiring fill-in guitarist Simon McBride to step in for Steve Morse, calling the Irish player’s recruitment “a great call” by the band. Satriani made his comments while speaking to eonmusic about new album ‘The Elephants of Mars’, which is due for release on 8th April 2022.

Joe Satriani Postpones European Tour to 2023.

Joe Satriani has once again been forced to reschedule his European tour. Originally scheduled to take place in 2020 it had been rescheduled to begin in April 2022. However, with the current Covid restrictions and quarantine mandates not yet standardized throughout the World, it has been decided that the best path forward is to reschedule once again. The new tour dates will now be moving to 2023.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will their twelfth full-length album via UMe on the 27th May  2022. It follows 2015’s chart-topping self-titled, 'Def Leppard', and  is available for pre-order now in multiple configurations, including a Deluxe Edition, 2-LP Vinyl, Digital formats and more.

Smith / Kotzen have ended their 2022 UK tour with a brace of dates in the south of England. Playing to sold out crowds at  Bristol's Fleece on  Monday 7th March and Islington's Assembly Hall the following night, the duo were joined by Adrian Smith's Iron Maiden band mate Nicko McBrain at the tour's final date in London.
