The festival season may be coming to an end, but there's still a few to go, including the popular 'Battle For The Lake' event. Taking place in the picturesque surroundings of Achill Island, Co. Mayo from 29th Sept – 1st Oct 2017, this years' happening is set to feature headliners Paddy Casey and Daithi.

Belfast's original punk rock sons Stiff Little Fingers returned home on Saturday night (26th August 2017), for an outdoor spectacular at the city's Custom House Square. Bringing along new wave sewer dwellers The Stranglers, as well as locals The Outcasts and London noise-makers The Ruts/Ruts DC, gig goers were treated to an abrasive shindig. Their first live release since 2009, the set gathers new versions of hits such as ‘Carry On Wayward Son’, ‘Dust in the Wind,’ and progressive epics like ‘Miracles Out of Nowhere.’  Robert Plant has announced details of his latest studio album, as well as a string of UK and Ireland dates to support it. Produced by the veteran singer, 'Carry Fire' will be released on 13th October, followed by an extensive winter tour that will see the former Led Zeppelin singer return to Belfast, Dublin, and a host of UK venues.
