Following on from 2019's Glenn Hughes headed event, the re-branded Stonedead Festival has announced Black Star Riders, Tyketto,  Blaze Bayley and more, for the 2020 happening. Billed as a one day, one stage, monster of a festival, the event will once again take place at Newark Showgrounds, on Sat 29th August, 2020.

Having recently completed a U.K and Ireland tour that saw them return to Dublin in support of new album 'Another State of Grace', Black Star Riders are currently one of the greatest rock bands around. Often billed as the next step in the evolution of Thin Lizzy, BSR offer far more that that: rock anthems with skillfully intertwined guitars, extremely powerful vocals with a unique sound designed to leave you wanting more. The Celtic rockers are certainly a fitting headline act for the Stonedead 2020 Tommy Vance stage.

World-renowned New York AOR melodic hard rockers Tyketto, fronted by Danny Vaughan offer a plethora of trademark melodies filled with riffs that fans know and love.

Also on the bill, Southern blues influenced hard rock doesn’t get much better than the Kris Barras
Band.
Fronted by U.K. guitarist and vocalist Kris Barras, the band's sound is an explosion of gritty, hard rock blues, with killer riffs.

Birmingham’s very own Blaze Bayley returns to Newark having previously performed in 2018 with Wolfsbane. This time, the Tamworth terror will be bringing a U.K. summer exclusive, performing a set of his Iron Maiden years.

Bringing with them a NWOBHM pedigree, Whitley Bay's  Tygers of Pan Tang flesh out the bill, along with  Myke Gray from 90's hard rockers Skin joined with Kim Jennett. The Gray / Jennet collaboration brings a new vibe to Skin songs, as well as showcasing her own material; the songstress exudes a passion for rock’n’roll.

Finally, the legend that is Krusher Joule will once again be acting as compere for the day.

Stonedead’s stellar line-up aims to excite both classic and new rock fans in providing a unique one day, one stage festival where the music is loud, the beer and food are priced competitively and you can camp / park 5 minutes from the arena.

The festival is solely organised by volunteers and created for music fans, Stonedead is a festival experience not to be missed. With a free signing tent brought to you in conjunction with Planet Rock Radio.

A unique festival experience, Stonedead has a dedicated covered well being area with seating and sun cream, and allows alcohol to be brought into the arena; 4 cans of ready mixed spirits or beer / cider.

With Special Guests and the Opening Poll competition winners still to be announced, Stonedead Festival is carrying on its solid tradition of bringing both well known and new rock bands to Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire.

New for this year:
All children under 4 are free entry!
Disabled access:
PA tickets are free with email proof. Sheltered indoor premises available for those who
