There will also be a performance by Belgian classical guitarist Jacques Stotzem, who has a CD tribute to the acoustic work of Rory. The 2nd itself sees the Cork Institute of Technology unveiling of a plaque dedicated to Rory, who performed an acoustic gig for the students (CIT’s theatre is also named after Rory).
The annual International Rory Gallagher Festival also returns to Ballyshannon, Co.Donegal during the 31st May - 3rd June, with Rory's ex-band mates in Band Of Friends set to perform, as well as blues guitarist Walter Trout, regular visitor Wilko Johnson, and ex-Thin Lizzy man Brian Downey.
