The Strokes, Duff McKagan
, and Bonnie Tyler have all rocked Electric Picnic 2019's second day, putting in show-stopping performances at the Stradbally site. Taking place from 30th August to 1st September in Co.Laois, Electric Picnic is Ireland's largest music and arts festival.

Appearing on various stages across the EP site, the trio were among the highlights as the festival reached its mid point.

Headlining the Electric Ireland Throwback Stage, Bonnie Tyler drew a huge crowd, who gathered to help celebrate the Welsh songstress' fifty years as a performer.

Touching on all corners of her career, the diva joked; "I'm going to take you back to the '70s now... Thank God for Botox!", ahead of a dramatic 'It's a Heartache'.

Over in the Rankin's Wood stage, like Billie Eilish the day before, Duff McKagan was celebrating coming home. A proud holder of an Irish passport, the Guns 'n' Roses man said; "Ireland, it's good to be home. I'm so fucking glad to be here".

Going on to play a healthy slab of material from his 2019 solo release 'Tenderness', Duff was ably abetted by sidekick Shooter Jennings and band. Changing gear from his country-tinged new material, the singer asked; "Do you guys want some rock?!", before delivering a euphoric run through GnR's 'Dust And Bones'.

Closing out the night, The Strokes brought their New York City Sound and attitude to the main stage. Blasting through a hits-heavy set that included a grooving 'New York City Cops', and an explosive 'Last Night', the indie rockers tore up the EP stage to a rapturous response.

Responding to crowd chants of; "Olé, olé!", lead singer Julian Casablancas asked; "What does that mean?", to which guitarist Nick Valenci responded; "It means fuck yeah!"

Elsewhere, Groove Armada played an unannounced set in the AIB Tap House, while Ireland's Wild Youth proved a huge hit with the afternoon crowd.

Electric Picnic concludes on Sunday, with Johnny Marr, Richard Ashcroft, a returning Florence and the Machine due to close out the festival.
