Lauded Newry musical heroes The 4 Of Us have announced a return to Dublin's Vicar Street. Returning to the Dublin venue for the first time since wowing the crowd and critics alike at their 2015 show, the quartet will take to the stage on 11 November 2016.

Vicar Street is proud to announce the return of the electrifying full line-up of The 4 Of Us, performing their latest album 'Sugar Island' alongside their chart-topping debut 'Songs For The Tempted'. Featuring the original band members, this unmissable November gig promises a set-list of classic hit songs and brilliant new tracks from the eagerly awaited new album.

'Sugar Island' chronicles the Murphy brothers’ formative years growing up in Northern Ireland at the height of the Troubles. Due for release autumn 2016, the album contains tracks as exciting, catchy and soulful as the band's debut 'Songs For The Tempted', which went straight to Number 1 on its release in 1989, and spawed the hits ‘Washington Down’,  ‘Drag My Bad Name Down' and ‘Mary’. The latter, is still one of the most played songs on Irish radio. Since then, the band has notched up over two decades of hits from ‘She Hits Me’ to ‘Sunlight’ and six Top 20 charting albums.

Often lauded in the Irish press, one Irish News critic said of one of their concerts: "Never before have I been to a gig where the atmosphere has been so electric".

The Irish Independent meanwhile said of their 2015 Vicar Street gig: "Newry brothers Brendan and Declan Murphy have remained a constant presence, maintaining an impressive uninterrupted run since the release of their blockbuster debut album Songs for the Tempted. The song choices hit home, delight the crowd and serve as a timely reminder of just how many good songs in the tank they have".

Tickets priced €28 go on sale Saturday 14 May at 9am through www.ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets nationwide.
