Symphonic metal singer Tarja Turunen has unveiled the video for the song 'Innocence' in the run up to the release of new album 'The Shadow Self'. Due on 5th August 2016, the new set is one of two albums from the singer this year, following on from prequel 'The Brightest Void' which was released on 3rd June.
With the release of Tarja’s upcoming studio album “The Shadow Self” only being six weeks away, the queen of heavy rock released the official music video for her new single 'Innocence' last week.
Directed by Argentinean movie director Mariano Cattaneo and filmed in Buenos Aires, the video surprises with a movie like optic and a corresponding, emotional plot. But it is not only the video clip that leaves you astonished – so does the song.
'Innocence' perfectly captures the essence of Tarja, her unique way of melting heavy rock and classical music. Adding a melancholic piano etude inspired by Chopin, a driven beat and a striking chorus, the first single from 'The Shadow Self' leads the way to even more inspiring music of Tarja.
The official music video for “Innocence” which can be viewed below, can also be watched on earMUSIC’s official youtube channel as well as on the official album landing page. The song is available as iTunes Instant Grat with immediate effect as part of the pre-order of 'The Shadow Self'
The single and video versions of 'Innocence' will also be available as part of the limited box set of 'The Shadow Self' in an exclusive 7”vinyl + CD format.
