Homegrown rock festival Stonedeaf has announced that Glenn Hughes will headline the 2019 event. Continuing as part of his recent 'Classic Deep Purple Live' tour, the former DP man will be joined by NWOBHM leading lights Diamond Head, Scottish hopefuls The Amorettes, and rising rockers Massive and more for the event which takes place at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, on 24th August 2019.

The festival, which proudly boasts "Created by hard rock fans, for hard rock fans" had its debut outing in 2018, with headliners Skid Row, and organisers are promising an even bigger event in 2019.

Say Stonedeaf productions; "Following the monster success of last year, Stonedeaf 2019 is set to once again to fill the need of a one day one stage rock festival so lacking in the UK. Cited as one of the UK’s friendliest rock festivals, come and experience it for yourself!"

Securing Hughes for the event, the Voice of Rock is set to perform Deep Purple classics amongst other favourites on the Tommy Vance Stage.

Adding another classic band to the line-up, Diamond Head are set to bring timeless heavy metal. Harard working trio The Amorettes will bring solid riffs, songs and a fantastic energy, while Aussie bruisers Massive are described as modern volatile hard rock engine, fuelled on adrenaline, beer and an obvious passion for Rock’n’Roll.

Also confirmed, between set music will be provided by Midlands Metalheads Radio to keep the party at full swing, while DJ Krusher Joule will be acting as compere for the day.

Meanwhile, opening poll competition winners will have the honour of being the first band to play on the Stonedeaf 2019 Stage. Stonedeaf Festival’s aim is to champion a band who have an uncompromising, thrilling passion for rock music and who also epitomises the future of heavy rock.

With the festival being solely organised and run by volunteers, Stonedeaf Festival is an experience not to be missed. With further band announcements and the Opening Poll Competition launching soon Stonedeaf looks to be building on its very successful first year.

A grassroots affair that has grown apace since its inception, Stonedeaf's appeal lies in its friendly approach, not to mention excellent amenities; free car parking, a campsite very close to the arena, and ticket prices that won’t break the bank.
