Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow ‘Live In Birmingham 2016’ Set On The Way.

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow are set to release a new live CD set ahead of the band's UK dates later in the year. 'Live In Birmingham 2016' was recorded in the Midlands last year, and features the band's set from their sold out show at the Genting Arena.

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow are set to release a new live CD set ahead of the band's UK dates later in the year. 'Live In Birmingham 2016' was recorded in the Midlands last year, and features the band's set from their sold out show at the Genting Arena. 

Due for release on 9 June 2017, the set is the first release for the audio of the 2016 British show which features performances of 'Soldier Of Fortune' and 'Burn' that weren’t in the German shows.  The amazing set list also includes such classic rock staples as 'Catch The Rainbow', 'Mistreated', 'Since You Been Gone', 'Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll', 'Black Night', 'Smoke On The Water' and 'Stargazer'. Following almost two decades playing Renaissance-inspired, acoustic folk, Ritchie Blackmore made his much-anticipated return to rock music in June 2016, as Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow played three concerts in Europe, two in Germany and one in England. The two German shows at Loreley and Bietigheim were caught on camera to produce the concert film 'Memories In Rock', which was released by Eagle Vision and Eagle Records in November 2016.

The release comes as Blackmore and band - Ronnie Romero (Vocals); David Keith (Drums); Bob Nouveau (Bass); Jens Johanssen (Keyboards); Candice Night (Backing Vocals); Lady Lynn (Backing Vocals) - prepare to hit the road for a number of UK dates, as well as a headlining slot at the Stone Free Festival in London. 25th June – The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
28th June – Genting Arena, Birmingham
