Legendary guitarist Michael Schenker has announced details of his latest live release. 'On A Mission: Live In Madrid', featuring his current Temple Of Rock outfit will be released on CD, DVD, Blu Ray and various digital formats on 29th April 2016. As well as unveiling the cover artwork and full track listing, the guitarist has also released a short promo preview video of the show, all of which can be viewed below.

Filmed and recorded at Madrid’s Joy Eslava Theatre on November 19th 2015 as part of Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock 2015 European tour, “On A Mission: Live In Madrid” features live performances of their recent rock radio hits 'Vigilante Man', 'Communion' and 'Live and Let Live', along with staples from the German icon's illustrious catalogue such as UFO classics 'Doctor Doctor' and 'Lights Out', and Scorpions' tracks 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' and 'Rock Bottom'.

The concert was recorded using state-of-the-art sound and video technology. 4K technology cameras provide perfect, crystal clear pictures, and additional room microphones were placed at different levels in the auditorium, all of which will provide an additional Dolby Atmos 3D mix on the Blu-ray edition.

Speaking exclusively to eonmusic in January, Schenker said that he had been enjoying touring with his latest projet Temple Of Rock;  "you know, everybody’s having fun and that’s why I do it", he said.

Going on to talk about playing with ex-Scorpions' members drummer Herman Rarebell and bassist Francis Buccholz who are in the current Temple OF Rock line-up, the guitarist said; "it’s very professional. They do what I need, and that’s the main thing. I’ve been doing it long enough and I just need a solid crew that I can paint on, and that’s what I get with them".

He added; "They’re having fun; they probably never thought something like this could happen for them after having been out of the scene for so long".

'On A Mission: Live In Madrid' is released in 29th April 2016 as a 2CD, DVD, blu ray and limited deluxe edition pack, as well as digitally in various download and streamed formats.
