Bay Area metal heroes Machine Head have today (1st June 2016) announced that they are to release a new single. 'Is There Anybody Out There?' will be available digitally for purchase from 3rd June, via iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, and will also be available on Spotify, Apple Music and all streaming services. The band also have released a new making-of video to go with the track, which can be viewed below.
Commenting on the song, lead vocalist / guitarist Rob Flynn says: "The song is about love, loneliness, racism, and not getting what is going on in the world/America. It's very much about current events, but applies to a bigger picture."
The track today made its exclusive premiere via SiriusXM radio's Octane channel. Fans can check out the track on the SiriusXM website.
Machine Head’s eighth studio record, 'Bloodstone & Diamonds', is out now via Nuclear Blast. The album was produced by Robb Flynn & Juan Urteaga and masterfully mixed by Colin Richardson & Andy Sneap, with additional tracking, editing, and mixing by Steve Lagudi.
Robb Flynn recently recovered two stolen guitars that were taken from his home in 2010. Video of him being reunited with his cherished axes - one of which was given to him in 1997 by late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell, can be viewed here.
