German thrash giants, Kreator, Brazilian-American extreme metal pioneers Sepultuta, visionary Swedish melodic death metallers Soilwork and Belgium’s finest death/grind outfit Aborted have announced a joint European tour for 2017.

Taking in dates all across the continent, the heavyweight bill will hit Dublin's Vicar Street on 1st March 2017, as well as Manchester, Academy on 28th February, and London's O2 Forum on 2nd March. The full list of dates can be viewed below.

Announcing the news, Kreator singer / guitarist  Mille Petrozza says: "Finally we are gonna be back on a headlining tour through Europe again. It will be more than two years by then since our last run and we have some amazing ideas for a new stage show, supporting our new album. It will be nothing less than spectacular, I promise! Looking forward to see all of you metal maniacs in 2017. And this will just be the beginning..."

Headliners Kreator will be readying the release of their as yet untitled new album in the run up to the shows. The band, who were pioneers of the European thrash metal scene, have just had a retrospective collection released through the newly reactivated Noise Records featuring tracks lifted from their iconic output including 'Endless Pain', 'Pleasure To Kill' and 'Extreme Aggression'.

Special guests Sepultura meanwhile, will be making a welcome return to Europe following a celebrated apperance at 2015's Bloodstock Open Air. Comments guitarist  Andreas Kisser “I’m so happy to have the chance to tour with Kreator and Soilwork in Europe. Kreator are one of my main early influences in heavy music, it will be a privilege to share the stage with them. We are going to have a new album out in autumn 2016, and the tour with Kreator will be our first shows in Europe playing the new songs live, I couldn’t think of a better way to start this new cycle. Rise Up Sepulnation, 2017 will be an amazing year for all of us, see you all on the tour! DESTROY!”

Joining the headliners, Swedes Soilwork and Belgium's Aborted complete the line-up for what is sure to be the heaviest bill of 2017. Tickets for all shows go on sale - appropriately - on Friday 13th May, from usual outlets.
