Kreator, King Parrot, Inquisition & King 810 have been added to the line-up of this years' Bloodstock Open Air festival. Taking place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from 10 - 13 August, the foursome join previously announced headliners Megadeth and Amon Amarth, as well as a host of others at the Midlands' metal fest.

Fresh from completing their recent UK and Ireland tour with Sepultura, German thrash legends Kreator shred their way on to Bloodstock’s main stage, filling Saturday’s special guest spot. Says vocalist / guitarist Mille Petrozza about the announcement; “We are happy to finally return to Bloodstock!  Kreator will give you the full treatment this time.  WE SHALL KILL.”

Flint firebrands KING 810 land a Ronnie James Dio main stage slot on Saturday, in a UK festival exclusive, making Bloodstock the only chance to catch the band in the UK this summer.  Their genre-busting album, ‘La Petite Mort (Or A Conversation With God)’ was hugely lauded upon release last year, with eonmusic calling it; "Menacing, unsettling, terrifying; the perfect soundtrack to these challenging times".

Black metal marauders Inquisition meanwhile, will headline the Sophie Lancaster stage on Friday.  The duo of Dagon and Incubus released their seventh album, ‘Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith’ via Season Of Mist last August, and are guaranteed to provide a ferocious finish to Friday night.

Lastly, King Parror fly in from their Aussie homeland for a Sophie stage slot. The self-dubbed “grindin’, thrashin’, punk wrecking machine” are on the road in support of their Phil Anselmo - produced disc, ‘Dead Set’.

Elsewhere, organisers have confirmed the return of ‘The Beast of Bloodstock’; the festival's  very own ale brewed by The Boot Beer microbrewery in Repton, Derbyshire.  It scooped the Gold Award in the CAMRA East Midlands Champion Beer of Britain ‘Strong Ale’ category!  Coming in, naturally, at 6.66% alcohol, it has been described as; "a luscious, dark chocolate and caramel character".

With Bloodstock 2017 taking shape, organisers have teamed up with Big Green Coach, who have have 21 departure cities for coaches directly to the Bloodstock festival site; Birkenhead, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Chester, Glasgow, Gloucester, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Newport, Oxford, Preston, Sheffield, Southampton, Sunderland, Swansea, and Worcester.  Big Green Coach will bring you, all your camping gear, & beer supplies and drop you hassle free right inside the festival grounds.  Check out the details and secure your seat for only £10 (the rest is payable in July) here.

The latest additions to the 2017 line-up join the likes of Blind Guardian, Hatebreed, Testament, Obituary, Brujeria,  Skindred, Possessed, Annihilator, Municipal Waste, Hell, Decapitated and more who are all set to appear over the weekend.

Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 10th-13th August 2017.  Early bird weekend tickets with camping are available now, priced from £120 (+ booking fee) .  Children’s weekend tickets are also available, priced £35 (+ booking fee), with and under 4’s going free. Camper van pitches have now sold out.
