Legendary American hard rock heroes Kiss have added four U.K. dates, plus additional continental shows to their 2017 European tour. The four-piece will play shows in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London during the trek which kicks off in May. The band have already announced dates in Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria and Holland, KISS now add Denmark, Italy, Czech Republic and the U.K. The full list can be viewed below.
The run follows on from their recent sold out U.S.A arena tour, and comes hot on the heels of the band's 6th sold out Kiss Kruise. The Kiss Kruise Creatures of The Deep sailing saw the Kiss Army sail from Miami to Cozumel and Grand Cayman for six days of Kiss mayhem from the 4th to the 9th November 2016.
Kiss last played in the U.K. in June 2015, when they headlined the closing night of Download Festival. Speaking exclusively to eonmusic following the show, Tommy Thayer hinted that a U.K. tour was imminent. Said the guitarist: “Headlining the last night at Download was over the top for us. It was mind-boggling just to be up there in front of that many people. At one point, the crowd was chanting ‘U.K. Tour’, and we’re very much looking forward to coming back and doing a U.K. tour.”
He concluded: “It’s something we’re going to do. We love it here; it’s very much near and dear to our hearts.”
