The cult originators have also announced details of a special show at London's Brixton Academy. Taking place on Friday 4th November, 'The Great Gathering' is a off-event featuring a carefully selected supporting cast which will be announced in due course.

Speaking exclusively to eonmusic at last year's Golden Gods Awards which took place at London's IndigO2 on 15th June, guitarist Geordie said; "we've got an amazing new record that we're very excited about, and the touring after that.

He continued; "we're looking forward to getting out there in front of our fans because it's been a couple of years since we've released an album and this one's a real strong one".

'The Great Gathering' comes on top of previously announced festival appearances at the Bearded Theory Festival in May, and the Rockaway Beach Festival in October.

Featuring the revered original line-up, Killing Joke are comprised of Geordie, front man Jaz Coleman, bassist Youth and drummer Big Paul.

Tickets for the Brixton show go on sale this Friday, April 1st, and will be available here.
