Kerrang! are excited to announce that genre-smashing metalcore/pop-punk titans A Day To Remember will be playing live at the Kerrang! Awards 2016 on June 9 at London’s Troxy. This will be an exclusive UK appearance, performing alongside British metal heroes Asking Alexandria. Once the final award has been handed out and the rock’n’roll ceremony closed, the venue will be transformed into the hottest gig in town. Tickets are on sale now – with two of the biggest bands in rock today tearing up the stage, act fast to avoid disappointment at www.kerrangtickets.co.uk.

Since their formation in 2003, Ocala, Florida’s A Day To Remember have grown from a small band with a dedicated local fanbase into a worldwide phenomenon. The Best International Band (presented by Fireball) nominees have a reputation as one of the most fun bands on the planet. Their exhilarating and irresistible live shows merge the good vibes and catchiness of pop-punk with some of the heaviest riffs and finest breakdowns metalcore has to offer. This is their first performance on UK soil since Download Festival last year. Previous to that, their triumphant sold-out headline show at Alexandra Palace cemented their place as one of rock’s finest prospects.

A Day To Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon says: "Expect the unexpected. We're kind of known for doing what you least expect, so I'm sure we'll figure something out. Our paths have crossed with Asking Alexandria at festivals and that sort of thing over the years – there won't be any rivalry on our part, friendly or otherwise. We just do our thing. It's also awesome to be nominated. We never expected to do any of these things that we're doing."

The Kerrang! Awards take place at London’s Troxy on June 9 and are guaranteed to be the biggest party in town. With Justin Hawkins of The Darkness and Skindred’s Benji Webbe leading the festivities, huge rockstars and a live gig for the very first time, this is set to be the biggest and best Kerrang! Awards yet. Voting is open here.

Sponsors for the Kerrang! Awards 2016 include Troxy, Zippo, Strongbow, Kerrang! TV and Kerrang! Radio. Red Stripe is the official beer sponsor, whilst Fireball is the official whisky partner.
