Former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison's new band, Vimic have unveiled a brand new video for new song, 'She Sees Everything'. Taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'Open Your Omen', the disc is set for release via Roadrunner Records later this year. The clip can be viewed below.
The release of the new video follows on from debut 'Simple Skeletons'; the first single from the album, which is streaming now on Vimic’s official YouTube channel . Both new tracks are available today at iTunes, Amazon and all DSPs.
Rounded out by vocalist Kalen Chase, guitarist Jed Simon, bassist Kyle Konkiel and Matt Tarach on keyboards, Vimic recorded 'Open Your Omen' at Sound Farm Studios in Jamaica, Iowa, with producer Kato Khandwala who has previously worked with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Blondie, and Paramore.
Speaking to Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal host José Mangin about forming Vimic and the significance of the band’s forthcoming album, Jordison said: “I decided that I really wanted to start fresh. I did not want to keep rehashing some old ideas, if I’m going to keep going I really want to break loose, wipe the slate clean and start fresh.”
He continued: “We went into the studio with Kato Khandwala and started hashing it out, kind of old school. We went in and said, ‘let’s just go back to being in the studio, jamming as a band, getting together with our instruments, and just creating from the ground up'. That was one of the coolest things about creating this record.”
The career of Joey Jordison is one that, by any measure, stands among the most creative and impressive in the history of modern metal. Veering from musician to songwriter and producer, from small town beginnings to global prominence, Jordison’s journey has included an extraordinary string of hits, resulting in eleven platinum and forty gold records.
