A brand-new rendition of the classic Guns N' Roses ballad "November Rain" will be included in the recently announced Use Your Illusion box set, which is scheduled for release on November 11.

Arranged and conducted by two-time Emmy nominee television and film composer Christopher Lennertz of Supernatural fame, the new rendition of the iconic song features a 50-piece orchestra, elevating the composition to a grand scale.

Porcupine Tree lead vocalist, guitarist, and producer Steven Wilson has worked his mixing magic on the new version of the track. Wilson has collaborated with several classic rock and progressive rock bands such as Black Sabbath, Kiss, and Rush and is responsible for reworking records by a wide range of acts, including 'Songs from the Big Chair by Tears for Fears, 'Aqualung' by Jethro Tull, and 'In the Court of the Crimson King,' by King Crimson. He took to social media to give fans an inside look at the making of the remastered version of November Rain, explaining that the original performance of the song was "mixed faithfully to the established version" but that new orchestral recordings "replaced the sampled sounds" used in the 1990 recordings.

Guns N' Roses, fronted by vocalist Axl Rose and lead guitarist Slash, are recognized for their high-voltage sound and raw intensity, which blends influences from blues, punk rock, and rock n' roll. Their impressive career spans over 40 years since their formation in Los Angeles, California, in 1985 by frontman Rose and rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin. Geffen Records took notice of the band in 1986, which led to a monumental record deal that resulted in the band releasing its debut album, Appetite for Destruction, in 1987.

According to Slash's memoirs, Guns N' Roses tracked an 18-minute version of November Rain with guitarist Manny Charlton of the rock band Nazareth a year before beginning recordings for Appetite for Destruction. Though at first, he disliked the song due to its "grandiose production," the guitar virtuoso who made it to the Rolling Stone list of 100 Greatest Guitarists later grew to appreciate the composition for what it was: a departure from the band's stripped-down rock n' roll sound.

November Rain was an instant hit the moment it was released as a single in 1992; it peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States and remained on the charts for a total of 30 weeks.

Guns N' Roses is still one of the most successful bands in the world, having sold over 100 million records around the globe. The band's substantial merchandise sales attest to its widespread fame and success. Fans hungry for memorabilia while waiting for the Use Your Illusion I & II box set can spin the reels of NetEnt's extremely popular 'Guns N' Roses' casino slot. The software provider is behind some of the very best brand new mobile slots and did a fantastic job bringing out the electric band theme. Along with GNR-themed games, the rock band also has a line of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies which can be purchased from the official Guns N' roses website.

The newly released version of November Rain, which clocks in at just under nine minutes, can be found on the band's official YouTube channel and major streaming sites such as Spotify and Apple Music. Complete live audio recording of the band's performance 'Live In New York,' taped at the Ritz Theatre on May 16, 1991, with sound newly mixed from original multi-track recordings, is included in the Use Your Illusion I & II Box Set as one of the 63 previously unreleased tracks. Also included is a brand-new audio mix of the whole 'Live In Las Vegas' show captured at the Thomas & Mack Centre on January 25, 1992. The bonus disc is a Blu-ray Video featuring the entire 'Live In New York' performance footage. The digitally remastered version of the band's Use Your Illusion albums, including the multi-platinum hit November Rain, will be available to fans for the first time ever.
