French technical death metallers Gojira have debuted the video for 'Silvera', the second song to be released off their anticipated new LP 'Magma'. The Drew Cox directed music video shot in New York City, which is can be viewed below, follows lead single 'Stranded', which has already garnered 1.3 Million views on the band’s official YouTube channel and charted in the Top 25 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart.
Pre-orders for 'Magma' are currently available on the band's official website, with all orders receiving instant grat downloads of 'Stranded' and 'Silvera'. 'Magma' arrives everywhere on 17th June 2016.
Recorded at the band’s own Silver Cord Studio in Ridgewood, Queens, 'Magma' is produced, mixed and engineered by Gojira. It is the first of Gojira’s albums to be recorded at Silver Cord, their new NYC headquarters which brothers Joe and Mario Duplantier began building out by hand in 2014.
Gojira, who are rounded out by guitarist Christian Andreu and bassist Jean-Michel Labadie, are hit the U.K. this Summer, with sets at the Download Festival in June and Bloodstock Open Air Festival in August.
The band are also due to perform at this years' Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, which takes place at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Monday 13th June. They join 'A Salute to Lemmy' featuring Saxon and remaining Motörhead members guitarist Phil Campbell and drummer Mikkey Dee who will be paying tribute to their fallen band leader Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, Swedish marauders Amon Amarth, and rising Hollywood sensations Halestorm, who will also be appearing at the bash.
