Wildhearts
' frontman Ginger will issue a limited edition 12" single as part of this year's Record Store Day event. Featuring four tracks, the saw blade shaped disc contains tracks originally intended for his fan-club only 'G.A.S.S.' project. The release comes as the search for a new Hey! Hello! singer continues, with the band issuing a video welcoming auditionees.

As part of Record Store Day, which this year falls on Saturday 16th April 2016, the Wildhearts' mainman will release 'The Ones That Got Away', a limited edition, 12” slade boot silver sawblade shaped disc via his own Round Records Records imprint. Limited to 1,000 copies, the EP  features tracks four tracks left over from 'G.A.S.S'. These are are; 'Friends Of Bill', 'Bloody Knees', 'That's A Nasty Habit You've Got There', and  'Petit Mort'.

Says Ginger; "G*A*S*S was an exclusive fan-club that I set up as a year long project that promised three brand new songs a month. An album, Year Of The Fan Club, was released with my own favourites cherry picked from the years worth of songs".

He continues; "Out of 36 songs, however, there were always going to be fan favourites that stylistically didn't fit on the album, but were undoubtedly popular enough to release on their own merit. So here it is, the songs voted by the fans, together on this highly collectible piece of limited edition vinyl".

A vinyl enthusiast, the Newcastle native warns; "When I was a kid fan clubs fascinated me, and limited edition vinyl was like porn. Please, then, enjoy a bit of both on this soon-to-be-available-on-eBay-only-and-sold-for-a-fucking-fortune item while you can. In fact buy two, and sell the other when the market price goes up. Once this one's gone it's gone.”

Meanwhile, the search for a singer for Hey! Hello! - the band that Ginger has recently been concentrating on - continues after front woman Hollis quit last month. Releasing a video  (which can be viewed below) to aid their search, auditions will begin on May 26th.

Inviting auditionees, the band have put out the following statement detailing their requirements;
