Geoff Tate will perform the entirety of Queensrÿche's 1994 opus 'Promised Land' at a special show in Belfast, Northern Ireland this August. Taking place at Belfast's Limelight 2 on Sun 28th August 2022, the show will also feature all the hits from across Tate's career.

Tickets for the Belfast show, which will mark the first time the platinum-selling album has ever been performed in full, as well as a September 2nd date in Dublin, are available now from ticketmaster.ie.

A regular visitor to Belfast, Tate has appeared a number of shows in the city in recent years, including in 2016 where he performed a particularly festive December set.

Speaking to eonmusic in 2018, Geoff revealed that the 'Promised Land' album holds a special place in his heart. Said Tate; "It’s one of my favourite albums, and it’s one of my favourite albums that Queensrÿche did. When Queensrÿche was together we did a fantastic tour with that album; one of my favourite tours that we ever did".

Continuing, he said that the album was incredibly introspective; "That was an album that was very special to almost everyone in the band. It was a very special time for us. It was the album after our most successful record ['Empire', 1990], and it was a really interesting time of introspection and self-examination; artistically, musically, professionally - all those things, those areas of your life that you look back on and think;
“How did I get here?! Where am I?!” Especially after the whirlwind of years leading up to the ‘Promised’ album; it was a nice time to sort of reflect, at that point. It’s a very special album".

'Promised Land' is the fifth studio album by the American heavy metal band, and their highest charting record. It was released by EMI on October 18, 1994, four years after their successful 'Empire' album.
