Progressive Rock luminaries Dream Theater have unveiled their new video for the track 'Our New World'. Taken from latest album 'The Asonishing', released in January on Roadrunner Records, the clip premiered in the USA with The Wall Street Journal.

The video, which can be viewed below, highlights the band’s immersive and interactive live show and captures the prog-virtuosos’ transcendent performances from their recent world tour, during which they performed 'The Astonishing' - only the prog masters' second ever concept piece - in full.

Consisting of thirty-four tracks spread across two unique acts, 'The Astonishing' debuted atop Billboard’s 'Rock' and 'Hard Rock' album charts, marking the group’s third No. 1 album following 2009's 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings' and 2013’s self-titled LP. In the UK, the record entered the album chart at number eleven, giving the Long Island quintet their highest position ever in the UK.

Recorded at Cove City Sound Studios in Glen Cove, New York, with guitarist John Petrucci producing, with composer and conductor David Campbell orchestrating, 'The Astonishing' paints a tale of a retro-futurist post-apocalyptic dystopia ruled by medieval style feudalism. It’s a place aching for a Chosen One to rise above the noise and defeat an Empire defined by the endless drone of noise machines and the illusion of safety in bland conformity.

Speaking exclusively to eonmusic whilst on tour with The Winery Dogs in February, former Dream Theater drummer and founder member Mike Portnoy admitted that he would one day like to return to the outfit. Said Portnoy: "I’ve never closed the door on doing something with Dream Theater. It’s not like I’m waiting for it, but certainly if the invitation or if the opportunity arose, I would surely welcome it."
