Download Festival Latest: Beer, Bands and Village Update.

With less than three weeks to go, Download Festival has added three more acts to its bulging roster, as well as unveiling the first ever festival beer in its very own 'Dogtooth'. Attractions at the Camp site village have also been revealed, with attendees set to be treated to Caravan of Lost Souls, Circus of Horrors and The Never-Ending Nightmare sideshows.

With less than three weeks to go, Download Festival has added three more acts to its bulging roster, as well as unveiling the first ever festival beer in its own 'Dogtooth'. Attractions at the Camp site village have also been revealed, with attendees set to be treated to Caravan of Lost Souls, Circus of Horrors and The Never-Ending Nightmare sideshows, as well as enjoying the unique festival atmosphere. 

Taking place between 
10 - 12 June, Download 2016 is headlined by Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. Other acts set to appear include  ​J Pop Metal sensations Babymetal, nu metal linchpins Deftones and Korn, big four legends Megadeth, symphonic Fins Nightwish and art rock heroes Jane's Addiction. The full list of acts can be viewed on the official festival poster bellow. 

Finalising the line up, Donington stalwarts InMe return for 2016 along with doom-mongers Witchsorrow, Finnish rockers Santa Cruz, The Franklys, and Welsh five piece The Dirty Youth. 

2016 marks the year Download launch their first beer, 'Dogtooth'. Named after their pink mascot, the ale will be available at all bars on site. Having been erred by an attempt to change vendors to using an exclusively cashless system in 2014 meanwhile, DL have gone all out this year, accepting cash, Debit, credit, contact less, Apple and Google pay at the bars. 

Plans for extra-curricular activities in the campsite village after hours have surfaced, offering comedy, late night clubbing, food, drink and more stalls for you to consume. The side-splitter stage hosts a range of live standup and circus performance, featuring performances from Andrew O'Neill, Rob Deering, Kunt and The Gang and Bethany Black. 

Caravan of Lost Souls, Circus of Horrors and The Never-Ending Nightmare are some of the sideshows lined up to put a chill down your spine with installation and performances including contortionists, fire-breathers and sexy  burlesque. The infamous camp site club nights will also run again this year, with takeovers from Uprawr, Facedown, Team Rock and more throughout the weekend. 

​Download Festival is the home of rock and metal and takes place on the sacred grounds of Donington Park, which have been associated with rock since the 80s. The festival attracts icons of to its main stage, plus some of the best and hottest new acts in the world. AC/DC, Kiss, Metallica, Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against The Machine,Slipknot, Linkin Park and many more have all headlined its main stage.
