Legendary Eagles' linchpin Don Henley has confirmed a brace of Irish dates as part of a huge 2016 European and American tour. His first solo Irish shows in sixteen years, the star will appear at Live At The Marquee, Cork on 29 June, as well as performing at Dublin's 3Arena on 1 July.

The Live At The Marquee date comes on top of previously announced shows by Chic featuring Nile Rodgers set for 21 June, and soul superstars Simply Red on 11 June at the annual festival. Taking place at various dates over the summer months, other acts set to appear include heavy metal giants Slayer and Anthrax (15 June), and pop music sensations Little Mix (3, 4 July).

Henley, the driving force behind The Eagles as singer, percussionist and songwriter, launches his solo tour on 20 June in Stockholm, Sweden.  The run will see the multiple Grammy Award winner play a select set of European dates before going on an extensive run in North America.  The full list of scheduled concerts can be found below.

Tickets for Henley's Irish shows  go on sale Friday 8 April at 9am from ticketmaster, as well as usual outlets.
