The Wildhearts
have announced details of five U.K. shows, taking place in December. The jaunt, which includes Ginger's Annual Birthday Bash, sees the band being joined by various related groupings on selected dates. In addition, The Wildhearts will be rejoined by former bassist Danny McCormack, who will guest with the band during the tour's encores. The full list of dates can be viewed below.

The band, with the line up of Ginger and CJ on guitars and vocals, bassist Jon Poole and Ritch Battersby on drums, will be supported by former bassist Danny McCormack’s band The Main Grains and Dirt Box Disco for the shows, with the exception of Manchester, where Ginger's current project Hey! Hello! will take the place of Dirt Box Disco.

With the addition of McCormack joining The Wildhearts each night for a few songs, band leader Ginger says: “It's going to be another very messy Xmas, with me and the lads playing non-stop party songs from throughout our career. And I'm especially looking forward to sharing a stage with Danny again. These shows will be a celebration of life, and it brings together two people who should be dead by now. The Birthday Bash is particularly insane this year, featuring a seven band bill. All in all, it's gonna be a cool yule.”

The  impressive cast supporting The Wildhearts at Ginger’s Birthday Bash meanwhile, has been confirmed as; Dirt Box Disco, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind, Hey! Hello!, The Dowling Poole, The Main Grains and Elvana.

Tickets for all shows go on general sale on  Friday 23rd September at 9.00am. For details click on the links below. Priority pre-orders for O2 customers meanwhile are available now.
