Bloodstock Festival has revealed details for the opening Thursday night of the festival. The fest kicks off proper on Friday 10th August, but early arrivers will be treated to sets by Arkona, Bloodshot Dawn and more. Taking Place from 9th - 12th August at Catton Park, Derbyshire, BOA 2018 features headliners Gojira, Judas Priest and Nightwish.

With BOA 2018 set to be the biggest yet, tickets are moving fast, with the event set to sell out again in advance. There now just twelve weeks to go until the festival kicks off, and standard weekend tickets are available now HERE, priced at £145. One day tickets will go on sale shortly, with interested parties encouraged to register here.

Those arriving on Thursday will be treated to a night in heavy duty style, with five bands taking to the Sophie Lancaster stage.

Arkona headline, bringing their pagan/folk infused sounds all the way from Moscow, Russia.  The band’s current album, ‘Khram’ was released earlier this year.

Portsmouth death metallers and 2009 ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ alumni
Bloodshot Dawn also land a slot, while bringing bagpipes to the bill are folk metal outfit Skiltron.

Riff-tastic rockers Fire Red Empress also grab a place on the bill, as do Leeds doomsters Hundred Year Old Man who will open the festival proceedings.

Travel wise, Bloodstock has once again partnered with Big Green Coach to provide transport from all over the country from twenty-three pick-up points. Alternatively, if you're driving, Gocarshare provides ways to share your journey with a fellow traveler. There's a chance to winning a pair of tickets to next year’s festival just by using the the scheme. Full details are available by clicking the link.

Other acts confirmed for 2018 include melodic hard rockers Mr. Big, hard core crossover legends Suicidal Tendencies, and the Chris Jericho led Fozzy. For a look at the full 2018 line-up, see the event poster below.
