Bloodstock have added Mr. Big, Suicidal Tendencies, Wednesday 13 and Kamalot to its 2018 event. Taking place from 9th - 12th August, the latest additions join headliners Judas Priest, Nightwish and Gojira for the bash which takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire.
Joining Friday’s main stage bill are crossover thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies, who play Bloodstock for the first time. Also landing a debut slot on the bill is the Duke of Spook, Wednesday 13, and symphonic metallers Kamelot.
Perhaps the biggest surprise, classic rock luminaries Mr. Big also make their Bloodstock debut on Sunday’s main stage, marking thirty years since the band’s inception. Featuring bassist Billy Sheehan, the bassist recently told eonmusic; "If you can’t enjoy it and enjoy the people around you, then what’s the point? I’ve never been money motivated; I’m enjoyment motivated, by the band, and the audience."
Today's additions join previously announced Friday night headliners, Judas Priest, Saturday headliners, Gojira and Sunday’s bill toppers, Nightwish. Emperor, Watain, Fozzy, Combichrist, Bloodbath, Nails, Doro, Orden Ogan, Septicflesh, Devildriver and Memoriam are also set to appear, with more acts set to join the bill.
Early Bird discounted tickets for Bloodstock Open Air sold out in record time this year. Standard weekend tickets are now available priced at £145, and a small handful of camper van pitches are still available. Also selling out in record time was Bloodstock’s first wave of 2018 Serpents Lair VIP tickets.
