Southern rockers Black Stone Cherry have released a brand new video for their track 'The Rambler'. Taken from latest album 'Kentucky', the release of the clip comes ahead of the band's headline appearance at this years' Ramblin' Man Fair Festival in Kent, on Sunday 24th July.
Available to view below, the flick features a staring role from country music star & actor, Billy Ray Cyrus, who plays the title character, a drifter who tries to face his past in a simple tale of guilt, heartache and longing for redemption. The clip was directed by fellow Kentuckian, Blake Judd, whose past credits include Shooter Jennings and Blackberry Smoke.
Says the band about the clip: "The Rambler has been an incredibly special song to us from the beginning and we knew the video had to be equally as special, but not overly dramatic. Simple and effective. We're honoured to have Billy Ray Cyrus play 'The Rambler', as well as the many amazing actors and team it took to make this story come to life. We hope this special song and video hits a chord with you, like it has for us.”
Talking about his starring role meanwhile, Cyrus adds: "If you are ready to hear a great band with an incredible song, hit play. I was honoured when they asked me to bring 'The Rambler' to life. Make something real? Hell yea. I'm in!”
'The Rambler' is featured on Black Stone Cherry’s current album ‘Kentucky’, which crashed in to the U.K. Official Album Chart at #5 on its release in April. ‘Kentucky’ is available from iTunes, while physical CDs and limited edition vinyl editions are available over at the official Black Stone Cherry store.
