Ipswich Black Metal four piece Eastern Front have announced details of new album 'Empire'. Their first for new label Cacophonous, the disc which is due for release on 30th September features a guest appearance from Cradle Of Filth front man Danni Filth.

Recorded and produced by Danny B (Lock Up, Pentagram, Criminal) of HVR Studios, Ipswich, 'Empire' focuses on the concept of building an empire through bloodshed and devastation, and is the first record to feature new vocalist Marder. The cover art and the track listing for the album can be viewed below.

Says guitarist Destroyer about the release: "'Empire' is our darkest and most conceptual release to date. Its essence is limitless loss, the notion that empires are literally built upon countless sacrifice and slaughter. The bigger the empire the more blood will have been spilt, the more pain endured, the more wounds inflicted. ‘Empire’ is a focused single vision of death as is conveyed throughout the artwork and is our statement of intent as a band redefined. This concept resonates for the members of Eastern Front, pain and loss having been the band’s fifth member for the last few years so this as catalyst certainly affected the writing when research began, that place of introspective honestly is what birthed the album ‘Empire’"

Formed in 2006, Eastern Front are by no means strangers to the world of Extreme Music. Releasing their debut album 'Blood On The Snow' in 2010 and sophomore album 'Descent Into Genocide' in 2013.

The name Eastern Front hails from the bands fascination with war history, referring to the theatre of conflict between the European Powers and the Soviet Union during World War II. Retaining a traditional Black Metal sound, Eastern Front encompass elements of Doom, Death, Folk and Classical Metal, with historical subjective and personal standpoint.

Boasting an impressive touring history,Eastern Front have invaded Bloodstock, Incineration, Dong, Chania Rock, Wotu and Chaos festivals, and have supported the likes of Cradle of Filth, Winterfylleth, Anaal Nathrakh,  Carpathian Forest and Shining to name a few.

'Empire' track listing:
1. Empire
2. Veiled By Blood
3. The Fire Consumes
4. No Snow Falls For Sorrow
5. Husks Of Kursk
6. Crimson Mourn
7. 1000 Winds That Blow
8. Die Reise In Den Tod Pt. II
