New York thrash metal legends Anthrax are set to play their entire 'Among The Living' album with a series of European dates in 2017. Released in 1987, the landmark disc will be celebrating its 30th anniversary as the band mark the occasion with the special shows dubbed 'Among The Kings - An Evening With Anthrax'.

The run, which kicks off at Birmingham's  O2 Institute on 9th February, marks the band's most extensive U.K. headline tour in over a decade. The full list of U.K. dates can be viewed below, with tickets going on sale this Friday 18th November at 10am from this location.

Anthrax this year celebrated their 35th anniversary and released their new album 'For All Kings' to widespread critical acclaim.

Says guitarist Scott Ian about the forthcoming shows: "Finally! We've been looking forward to headlining in the U.K. for so long!!! We have a killer set planned, new stuff, old faves, deep tracks and Among front to back. You'd better start getting in shape now for the epic war dance! See you soon my friends."

Support on all dates will come from up and coming British metallers The Raven Age.

Speaking exclusively to eonmusic at the Golden Gods Awards in London earlier this year, drummer Charlie Benante said of the band's resurgence; "You know it all has to do with this man [singer Joey Belladonna] being back with us. It inspired us to actually be a better band, and Metallica doing the Big Four [shows] inspired us to be a better band. Seriously, that’s what it all comes down to. We’re all very hungry, and we love heavy metal".
