Anthrax have released a digital single in the run up to the band's European run of dates. Featuring two tracks, 'Leftoverthrax' sees the New York thrashers tackling songs by Kansas and The White Stripes.

The band return to European shores later this month in support of their current hit album 'For All Kings', and to mark the occasion, 'Leftoverthrax' contains a pair of choice cover versions. Tackling Kansas' classic 'Carry On Wayward Son' and 'Black Math' by The White Stripes, both tracks are available to buy or stream here.

Having covered many artist's throughout their career, most famously Puclic Enemy's 'Bring The Noise' in 1991, and French band Trust's 'Antisocial' in 1988, Anthrax have never been afraid to take on others' work.

Speaking exclusively to eonmusic at the 2016 Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards where Anthrax had received the 'Inspiration' award, guitarist Scott Ian said; "We were inspired by so many bands, and our album title ‘For All Kings’ touches on that . All the ‘kings’ that we grew up with, all the bands that inspired us to do what we do, it all kind of comes together."
