Young artists are oftentimes found looking for avenues to showcase their work. The following article will discuss the many ways that you can get your art out there and make it known. You may choose one or more of these routes, or find something else that suits your needs. It’s important to keep in mind though, that no matter what you do- if it isn't worth doing then don't bother! There's plenty of competition out there so be sure to stand out from everyone else with a unique approach to getting noticed. And remember: all roads lead somewhere so just pick one and go for it!

1. Participate In A Collective
Collectives are groups of people who get together to create something bigger than one person could ever make on their own. An art collective is another form of networking as it allows for artists from different disciplines to work together and produce even more work. This is a good way to meet people who are doing similar things to you as well as getting your art seen by others who may not have found you otherwise. They can consist of painters, sculptors, musicians, and pretty much all kinds of artists from different fields. The general goal of a group is to expose each other's work and gain recognition.

2. Promote Yourself Through Social Media
There are many ways that you can promote your art online these days with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest being a few of the most popular options. The key to social media is to keep an active presence by posting regularly things such as new pieces, interesting photos from around the studio, and how-to videos. When we talk about YouTube, it’s important not to forget about music monetization, as it can be very helpful, especially to young new artists who are trying to make it. Be aware that the general public uses social media to show off too so it is important to maintain a professional attitude while posting on your own page.

3. Exhibit In Galleries
Galleries are storefronts or homes where people go to see the art of all different types ranging from painting, sculpting, photography, etc. There are many different types of galleries out there, but you can get started by checking out local listings in your phone book, or by searching online for places that have an opening for young artists. Note that the merit of your work may be more important than just being young when applying to a gallery so it’s always best to be prepared with a portfolio and your own press kit.

4. Apply To School Programs
Many art schools and colleges offer programs that you can apply to as an undergraduate or graduate student. These may include various scholarships as well as financial aid packages, which is why it's important to start applying early on in your education. This will give you the chance to get help with tuition fees while also receiving industry-relevant training that will boost your resume.

5. Network At Seminars And Conferences
Art fairs, conventions, and seminars are oftentimes surrounded by people of the art community who are looking for new talent to represent their work. This is where you can meet others in the trade and get your name out there. These types of events are often held at various locations such as museums, galleries, and universities.

6. Post Flyers In Public Spaces
From cafes to laundromats and pretty much everywhere in between - most places nowadays allow for people to post flyers with information or artwork printed on them (given that they don't ruin the aesthetic of the space). Flyers are a great way to get more eyes on your work and open up more opportunities. It's not impossible to meet new people or gain commissions through this method so don't be afraid to go out there and do it!

7. Network With Other Artists
Getting to know your peers is an important part of the art community as it allows you to connect with others who are interested in similar work. Through this, you can share ideas and help each other out by setting up future collaborations or helping promote one another's names. This is a great way to gain more exposure and achieve more.

8. Apply For Grants And Scholarships
This method is only recommended for those who don’t have the financial means as there are many different types of grants and scholarships out there that cater to people with various needs and interests. They can range from general art programs to specific fields such as photography or pottery, and even to being based on ethnicity or where you live. It is important that you do what you can to find scholarships specific to your interests so that you are putting yourself in the best possible position to win.

Artists can take many different paths to success, but looking at those who have achieved it will give you the conviction to keep fighting for your dreams. We’ve listed more than a few ways that artists can get their art out there - from joining or starting a collective, marketing yourself through social media, exhibiting in galleries, and more! Whichever path you choose, be sure to network with other artists as well as applying for scholarships and grants if possible. Remember that persistence is key when working towards your goals so don't stop until you reach them!
