Three Blackjack Legends who Changed the Game
Blackjack is one incredible game. Not only does the game has a long and rich history and appeared in dozens of famous movies, but there are even living blackjack legends who have won incredible amounts of cash.

Today we want to dig into the three most beloved blackjack players out there and see if we can find some great blackjack tips here – given that they’ve worked majestically in the past.

Thomas Hyland
Hyland started his card counting career at the end of the 70s. In 1979, while he was studying, he was thinking about what he could do with his professional life. At the same time, he came into contact with the world of blackjack gambling.

Gradually, he put into practice the idea of making gambling his full-time job. So he started recruiting his friends for his venture. His team consisted of 4 players, each with a bank balance of $4,000.

Hyland and his members began their careers in Atlantic City. With his crafty counting technique, he built up a capital of $50,000.

Subsequently, conditions worsened for many blackjack players. But his team soldiered on. Then, in the 1980s, the particularly helpful blackjack counting techniques, such as shuffle tracking or ace sequencing, successfully prevailed.

However, ace sequencing, in particular, got Thomas Hyland and his teammates into a lot of trouble, especially in the next decade. As a result, a couple of Hyland's teammates were arrested in 1994.

Besides, he was also very successful as a team leader and managed the oldest blackjack team. Here, loyalty, integrity and professional card tricks were combined to win really big money.

Lawrence Revere
Lawrence Revere was a professional blackjack player and made a lot of money from it in his career.

He brought with him an incredibly large pool of experience from several perspectives. This is because he played both for and against the casino. Therefore, he naturally had super insights behind the scenes of the big casinos. These helped him a lot in his success.

Revere's first experience was in the backroom of a barbershop. Mainly, he studied mathematics at the University of Nebraska during this time. There he was able to develop unique blackjack strategies that have changed the game forever to this day.

These included a lot of card counting strategies that had proven themselves over many, many years. The tricks were quite complicated but very effective.

Lawrence Revere wrote a book about his tricks called "Playing Blackjack as a Business" which sold like hotcakes. In addition to his successful book, he also taught in person, passing on his knowledge directly for a relatively inexpensive price.

Don Johnson
A very well-known blackjack player is Don Johnson. He was suspected by several casinos of using tricks while playing cards. Many could not begrudge him his great successes and did not believe that they were only due to luck and lots of gambling experience.

Among others, the famous Vegas casino Caesar banned him.

Don won over 15 million dollars within 6 months. His biggest win came with a bet of $100,000 that he placed on 2 eights. He was able to split, got 2 new eights and he split those as well. Then the dealer dealt 2 x the 3 and 2 x the 2. Don then simply doubled down on each hand.

The dealer's cards then showed 15. He drew and then simply revealed the 10. In this game Don Johnson won a lot of money and he became even more famous.

Thanks to his career, he was also a great role model - like many other gamblers - and made a lasting impact on the card game world with his tricks!
