Erupting from the north of England, Hull band Breeze are setting the standard for upcoming artists within the Indie world. Formed back in October 2021, brothers Albert, Harry and Alfred Anderson teamed up with mate Declan Rodgers to release their debut single 'Touch the Sky', thrusting the unknown four piece into orbit and turning heads across the country with their own brand of explosive indie rock. We caught up with Albert for a chat.

What was the reason you chose to call yourself Breeze?
We were all deciding on a names for the band and my dad mentioned 'breeze' and we all instantly thought it sounded 'mega Brit pop 90s vibes'!

You are Hull based - Tell us about the current music scene there and what you like about it
Hull has a very hidden music scene that doesn’t get the publicity that it should. There are some mega venues that have made history: for example the Welly Club and the Adelphi where Pulp played many concerts before fame and fortune.

Your latest single is 'She’s Got It’ - what inspired the track?
"She’s Got It" was written back in the 90s by the dad of us Anderson brothers as you can tell he is a massive inspiration to us! He wrote the song one day in his room with nothing but a small Marshall amp a fake Gibson guitar and a packet of cigarettes! About a girl that’s basically has everything the looks the body the vibe she got it, she’s got it!

I'm told your music is influenced by a 90’s musical vibe – any bands from that era in particular that you are really into?
The 90s does play a massive part in our music. One of the greatest generations for bands such as Oasis, Pulp and Radiohead!

If you had to choose just one to collaborate with, who would it be and why?
Would have to be Oasis- one of the biggest bands of all time! Couldn’t miss out on that opportunity!

Which leads us nicely onto 'Fantasy Dinner Party': Who past and present, alive or not, would you invite to a dinner party at your house and why?
Jeez that’s a hard one. It would have to be the the Rolling Stones just to find out all the stories they have from first starting out.

Do you have any tour plans for 2023/24?
We are playing at this years Y NOT FESTIVAL which is going to be insane. Tour wise however I can’t say too much, but what I can say is that somthing will be coming soon and you won’t be disappointed!

What is your creative vision for the next 2 to 3 years?
Creative vision is to take our music to the main stages of mainstream festivals! To become the next big band!
