Monopoly Live Review

Monopoly Live is a prize wheel-based casino game developed by Evolution Gaming and released in 2019. This game is a spin on the highly popular prize wheel game Dream Catcher also released by Evolution Gaming. This game takes the original concept put forward by Dream Catcher and applies the likeliness and some game mechanics found in the famous board game Monopoly. This game's success also laid the groundwork for other top slots, such as Crazy Time Live, to be made.
This review of Monopoly Live will delve into everything about this game so you can figure out if it is the right choice for you. From the game's design and paytable to the mechanics and bonus features, we will explore everything this game has to offer.

Evolution Gaming
Evolution Gaming, a prominent player in the online casino game industry, stands out as one of the world's leading developers, not only for delivering top-notch games but also for providing cutting-edge software to fellow casino game developers. What sets Evolution Gaming apart is its innovative approach, particularly in the realm of live casino games, offering players an experience that replicates the ambience of a physical casino from the comfort of their homes.

Recognising a niche in the online casino market, Evolution Gaming has been unwavering in its commitment to delivering high-quality live casino titles. The company distinguishes itself by offering a diverse portfolio of games ranging from classic table games like blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and poker to unique creations such as Crazy Time Live. Evolution Gaming has consistently provided an authentic gaming experience, leveraging the best streaming technology and sophisticated game interfaces.

Monopoly Live Design
Monopoly Live has an affluent design that draws from the Monopoly brand's likeliness. The game takes the top room of a skyscraper, and the inside of this room has a luxurious marble floor and golden window panes. All of the walls are made of glass, and as a result, this allows you to look out at the city landscape in the background. The landscape has a lovely blue sky and then many grey skyscrapers. Inside the room is also a golden pedestal with dice and a chair where Mr. Monopoly sits and reads the newspaper as the wheel is spun.

If you are able to unlock the bonus round, you are taken to a virtual Monopoly board, which is set in a park. This setting is much more vibrant and colourful than the base game, as the board is surrounded by colourful buildings of different sizes, colours and designs. In the middle of the classic Monopoly board, there is a carnival.

How to Play Monopoly Live
In Monopoly Live, the goal is to predict which segment the wheel will land on. The host will spin the wheel, and you will have 10 seconds to place your wagers. If once the wheel is spun, it lands on a segment you predicted you will receive whichever reward is in that segment. The wheel contains the following 54 segments:
  • 6 segments containing 8 numbers each.
  • 2 segments labelled chance.
  • 3 segments labelled 2 rolls.
  • 1 segment labelled 4 rolls.

You have to guess whether the wheel will stop at 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 rolls, or 4 rolls. The presenter spins the wheel, and if it stops at a number segment, all bets get paid with the odds matching the number in the winning segments. The segments include:
  • There are 22 number 1 segments that reward 1x your stake.
  • There are 15 number 2 segments that reward 2x your stake.
  • There are 7 number 5 segments that reward 5x your stake.
  • There are 4 number 10 segments that reward 10x your stake.

Alternatively, if the wheel stops at a chance or rolls segment, the following are awarded:
  • The chance symbol has 2 segments and awards a random cash prize or multiplier.
  • The 2 rolls symbol has 3 segments and triggers the bonus game.
  • The 4 rolls symbol has 1 segment and triggers the bonus game.

The gameplay is pretty simple and similar to other roulette-style prize wheel games; however, the Monopoly-specific additions help make it stand out from other games out there.

Monopoly Live Bonuses
To trigger the bonus round, you must bet on either the 2-roll or 4-roll segment, and your prediction must come true. If you do not, the bonus round will play, and you will have to spectate before placing another wager on the base fortune wheel spin. If you successfully enter the bonus game, you move to the virtual Monopoly board and are given 2 dice to play with. If the wheel landed on the 2 rolls segment, you get 2 rolls of the dice and the same for 4 rolls, awarding 4 rolls of the dice. When the dice are rolled, Mr Monopoly walks around the board collecting cash prizes and multipliers. The Monopoly board also makes use of the classic bonus symbols seen in the physical game, and the rewards given increase as properties are built on top of the spaces. The bonus spaces include:
  • The jail space, which if Mr Monopoly lands on, requires 2 doubles to get him out.
  • If you roll 2 doubles, you are granted another dice roll.
  • Chance or Community Chests can award cash prizes or multipliers.
  • Passing GO doubles all prizes on the board.

Monopoly Live Summary
Monopoly Live is a unique and innovative live casino game developed by Evolution Gaming. It combines elements of the classic Monopoly board game with a live dealer format, providing a fun and interactive experience for players. This Evolution Gaming creation brings the beloved Monopoly theme to life in a live casino setting. Monopoly Live has gained popularity for its unique concept, providing a fresh and entertaining twist to the world of online live casino gaming.
