Playing the piano or keyboard is an art; it is something that gives many life and joy that can not be replicated in any other way. This is why you should respect your instrument and treat its maintenance as something that is imperative; ESPECIALLY if your keyboard is used.
The maintenance of your used Roland keyboard is necessary to make sure that it performs at its best and performs for a long time. Here are some tips for maintaining it!

1.      Use A Dust Cover
Perhaps the most important tip, always use a dust cover to protect your keyboard or digital piano. This is a cheap and easy way to make sure your instrument is maintained and is not covered in dust.
Keyboards can often be dust magnets, and you can see if you leave them uncovered, they get filled with dust that can even get into the speakers of the keyboard, ruining their performance. Dust is the enemy so always keep your used keyboards safe!

2.      Positioning And Placement
Another important step for the maintenance of a keyboard is where you put the keyboard in your home or building. Try to avoid placing your keyboard near doors as this can make it susceptible to damage to a very large degree.
Also, keep them away from windows as dust can come from open windows, and long exposures to sunlight can make parts of your keyboard weak, and if your Roland keyboard is used, well, that means it is even more susceptible! Keep your keyboard away from the shelf where objects might fall from; treat your used Roland keyboard like your baby!

3.      Cleaning
Do not, under any circumstances, even think of using a vacuum cleaner or anything else that is very powerful. This can make parts of your keyboard lose. If the previous owner of your keyboard left the booklet that came with it, make sure you read it for its proper cleaning tips.

If they are not present, make sure you use a normal cotton cloth to clean it and cotton buds to clean parts of it that are hard to reach. Make sure the cleaning product you use has a high alcohol percentage.

4.      Hygiene
Make sure that you wash your hands before you use your keyboards, especially if you have been eating or doing any activity that might result in unsanitary hands. Try to establish some discipline in your keyboard area, as in, try to avoid having food or drinks near it as that might lead to an accident.

5.      Electrical Safety
Make sure the plug for your used Roland keyboard or digital piano is in a safe space that does not obstruct walking in a room; a good solution is to have the keyboard right next to the wall.

Also, make sure that your keyboard is not sharing a plug or an outlet that is used by a major household item such as a refrigerator or an air-conditioner. This can have an adverse effect on the sound produced by your keyboard, and not to mention, it is dangerous that can result in damage to your keyboard.

Lastly!
If you love something, you should always treat it with care and respect. If you value your used Roland keyboard or digital piano, make sure you take care of it properly!
