It's easy to assume that many well-known singers like gambling, whether it's by playing poker, blackjack, or spinning the reels.

However, a few of the most well-known musicians like gambling a little too much, and today we’re going to take a look at some of the biggest gamblers in the world of music. Before we begin, this list of artists was collected by iGamingWV.com, a great source for the latest news, articles, guides, and bonuses for players in West Virginia.

1. Madonna
According to reports, the legendary pop diva placed second in the 2012 SuperEnaLotto. She bought 100 tickets for the drawing that year on her global tour and won a reward of $130,000. Her whole proceeds were put toward the construction of a school in Malawi, the African nation from where she has adopted four children.

2. Ian Kilmister
The English rock band Motörhead's popular song "Ace of Spades" has always brought the band's relationship with gambling to light. Lemmy Kilmister, the band's lead vocalist and bassist, has described how creating the song was like a word game with gambling and all the typical clichés.

There are rumors that the origin of his moniker, "Lemmy," is the expression "lend me some money". However, the singer never acknowledged this.

3. Frank Sinatra
Frank Sinatra passed away in 1998, but he is still well-known to most people because of his enormous global success, which included selling 150 million albums and starring in more than 50 films. Many people are unaware, nevertheless, that Sinatra was associated with the mafia and was a rumored gambler.

Sinatra arrived in Las Vegas in the 1950s, and like many others before him, that's where his love began. Some reports claim that the guy was a bit of a hothead and that this was evident at the Sands Hotel and Casino in 1967. He reportedly attempted to light drapes on fire and stole a golf vehicle before driving it through the casino's glass doors after losing $500,000.

4. Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs
P Diddy is primarily known for his career as a rapper and has also produced successful musicians like Usher and Notorious B.I.G. His preferred game of choice when it comes to gambling is blackjack. In addition to visiting the tables whenever he is in Las Vegas, there are claims that he has asked for blackjack tables to be put up backstage while he is performing.

5. Nelly
The Grammy-winning Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., better known by his stage name Nelly, is another rapper who enjoys gambling. Texas Hold'em poker is his preferred game of choice.

He has competed in several high-profile events, such as the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, European Poker Tour, and World Series of Poker. Nelly is said to like playing poker online in addition to in-person competitions.

6. Jay Z
Jay Z needs no introduction since he is widely regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists of all time. He is on the list of the best-selling musicians with 125 million albums sold. A noteworthy accomplishment that complements his 24 Grammy awards.

Jay Z has purportedly labeled himself as a professional gambler, with his preferred games being blackjack and poker. He has been seen playing high-stakes tables at casinos, although he often plays in secret. He reportedly lost half a million dollars playing poker in Las Vegas on one hand.

7. Lady Gaga
When we hear Lady Gaga, "Poker Face" is the song that everyone immediately thinks of. It was a radio hit in 2008 and 2009. Although the song doesn't specifically talk about poker, Gaga actually enjoys playing the game.

Numerous accounts claim to have seen her in various Las Vegas casinos. She is said to have expressed her enjoyment of playing poker with her friend as a way to unwind and have fun. It's more important to enjoy the game than to win or lose.
