3 Metal Anniversary Celebration Ideas.

2/3/2020

You probably already know this, but metalheads are the happiest music listeners on the planet, whether a fan of Metallica, Babymetal or Russkaja. Tours of the festivals across the globe have introduced Sweden’s finest strains of melodic death metal, the brilliant Ghost Bath from China, Austria’s Kontrust and Indonesia’s Burgerkill and Jasad.  All of which suggests a festival as a great, though obvious, anniversary celebration idea.  Here are three more.
A Gift a Month.
For a gift that keeps on giving, consider a monthly subscription to a subscription box containing metal music merchandise and albums from all genres from Death to Black to Thrash to Heavy. These will likely introduce a lot of bands that you have not heard of before, and some you will fall in love with.  Boxes contain T-Shirts, posters, autographs, stickers, download cards, and much more. Music is from the biggest bands in the business to the smallest record labels, introducing you to bands you haven’t seen live yet. There is also exclusive content you cannot find anywhere else.

If you want a gift with a difference, consider a different monthly gift that is both metal, precious and romantic. This is an idea if you are struggling with what to do for your anniversary. Every month, for the same cost as having a dozen red roses delivered, send a natural rose preserved at the peak of perfection and gilded with gold. Choose a different colour each month so that by the time of your next anniversary she will have a bouquet of a dozen red roses that will last a lifetime.

See Your Favourite Artist.
It is not just the big-name artists like Metallica, Slipknot or Judas Priest that are worth seeing in concert. Consider others such as the Australian band Airbourne that are being mentored by AC/DC mentor and who pump the audience up to the max with catchy tracks delivered with electric ferocity.

Artists are playing year-round across the globe, so check out Metal Festivals and tour listings to make your pick to combine a vacation with your need to celebrate your metalhead status. For now, probably the best anniversary celebration would be to see Alice Cooper, who is still taking centre stage at the age of 72. Old black eyes rocks the stage with the energy of a man half his age and his band is superb, the theatricals entertaining and the audience sings along to the tracks all night. What’s really special about an Alice Cooper concert is that three generations of fans turn up to his shows. So, if you have a family of metalheads who you want to mark your anniversary with, this has to be top of your list.

Heavy Metal Fashion.
If you are celebrating your anniversary as a metalhead, you will have your own aesthetic. There are sexy platforms for her, but if this is going to lead to a pavement fall and rips in tights that she doesn’t want there are fabulous shoes that are comfortable enough to be worn all day, even on vacation, and work well with both dresses and pants.

Accessories will lift every outfit, from an elaborately detailed heavy metal bracelet to a Thor hammer pendant, a raven skull ring in silver or red eyes skull earrings with cubic zirconia crystals. If you want something a little different, consider a metal chalice decorated with a bovine skull with ivory horns.
For clothes buy something that celebrates your shared joy of metal, with a sleeveless cut off denim battle jacket, Viking costumes or a leather jacket in a biker style. If you have a baby or young child, include a crocheted beanie hat with Viking horns with your gift to make the anniversary celebrations include all the family. You can also search out collectable clothing, such as a Metallica 1996 European Tour Shirt, a Metallica "Metallifukinca" vintage T-Shirt.
