With the success of Iron Maiden’s Trooper Ale, Motörhead's Road Crew IPA, and Metallica’s Enter Night (aka, the St. Anger of beers), Def Leppard are the latest act to get in on the booze branding bonanza. With two just-released premium gins baring their name, for the diamond-selling act, it’s a literal case of me and my wine.

“Do you wanna get rocked?”, asked Joe Elliot on Def Leppard’s 1992 mega hit ‘Let’s Get Rocked’, and where they have been providing the appropriate soundtrack for the last 45 years, now comes a beverage from the five-piece to rock you ‘til you drop.

Following in the footsteps or Kiss and Ozzy Osbourne who have also recently put their name to a gin, comes the Def Leppard-branded product. Consisting of a brace of aperitifs; ‘Animal’ and ‘Rocket’, they arrive in time to celebrate their ongoing Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe and Poison, which is currently rolling across the USA, but heavily rumoured to be coming to Europe in 2023. Produced by award-winning Swedish liquor producer Brands For Fans, these premium gin products will delight those with a taste for the currently in-vogue spirit.

Named after the debut single from their multi-million selling ‘Hysteria’ album, Def Leppard ‘Animal’ is a classic London dry gin with a high intensity of flavours. According to the blurb, the grain-based distillate is heavy with juniper, lemon, and botanicals. Spicy, big, and bold, it’s hard to argue with that description.

Also taking its name from a track on their career-defining release, Def Leppard ‘Rocket’ is a grain-based distillate bold with juniper and herbaceous tones. Taking inspiration from the lavender labyrinths in the band’s hometown of Sheffield (Manor Lodge), to get an even more developed experience of botanical character, additional flavours of lavender and lemon have been macerated and blended with the distillate. There are no added sweeteners, ensuring the purest quality of liquid. It tastes great over ice, or with a subtle mixer.

Of course branding is everything, and Def Leppard fans will instantly recognise not only the band’s logos on the bottles, but the faithfully reproduced, iconic Andi Airfix circuit board detail on the ‘Animal’ label as well. It’s these details that fans of the band will love.

If you’re into gin, have a palate for bold flavours, and adore these rock and roll hall of famers, these gins will make your day.

Available now, both gins are available to order here: https://brandsforfans.com/
