Brit Rock heroes The Almighty, super group The Dead Daisies, and Danes D.A.D. were among the names who made a big noise as Stonedead 2025 got underway. Taking place on 23rd August at the showgrounds in Newark-Upon-Trent, the sold out event proved a huge hit, as usual, with its dedicated fanbase.  Photo; Adrian Hextall Mindhex Media. 2025's Rewind South has taken place in its home of sixteen years, Henley-On-Thames, with a bill that saw the return of some of the retro festival's favourite acts, as well as some first timer old timers! Happening from 15th - 17th August at Temple Island Meadows, the event proved, as usual, a feast of fun for attendees and the acts.  Swedish guitar supremo Yngwie Malmsteen returned to Dublin on Thursday night (31 July 2025) to play a sold-out show in front of just 550 people at the city's Button Factory. Celebrating forty years as a solo artist, the gig marked the shredder's first time on a Dublin stage in over twenty years.  Big Four Thrash giants Slayer returned to London on Sunday night (6th July 2025) for their first show in six years in the British Capital. Brining along with them Anthrax, Amon Amarth, and a host of others, the open air event followed their appearance at Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne's historic 'Back to the Beginning' farewell the previous day. Iron Maiden's 'Run For Your Lives' tour arrived at Dublin's Malahide Castle on Wednesday night [25th June 2025], and saw the band celebrating 50 years in existence and revisiting the tracks that built their reputation. A weekend of metal mayhem in France's picturesque Pays de la Loire region, Hellfest has become the destination of choice for festival goers of a certain disposition. Headlined by Korn, Muse, The Scorpions, and Linkin Park, the 2025 'Out of Bounds' edition took place from 19th - 22nd June, and was one of the hottest on record, with temperatures reaching just shy of 40c.  It was a weekend of firsts as Download 2025 took over the spiritual home of rock, Donington Park for, incredibly, its 22nd year. Taking place from 13th - 15th June, the midlands metal event featured a Green Day debut, a history making moment for Sleep Token, and Korn's first ever headlining performance at the festival.
