Kylie Olsson Traces Life in Six Strings in Award-Winning Series.

Renowned music journalist and television presenter Kylie Olsson is excited to share her fascinating eight-part series, Life In Six Strings, on YouTube for the first time. The series chronicles Kylie’s journey as she learns to master the guitar, with guidance from legendary rock and roll figures who dive deep into their relationship with the instrument and the life that it’s brought them. ​

Originally broadcast on AXS TV in the US, the whole of season one is now available to watch for free on Kylie’s YouTube here. 

Life In Six Strings features an impressive lineup of guitar virtuosos. Episode One took Kylie to Nashville to meet Joe Bonamassa, a modern blues titan who shared how his love of the guitar has helped shaped his incredible life. Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt features in Episode Two, which was honoured with an Emmy Award for its captivating depiction of his extraordinary guitar skills and personal journey. In the episode, Kylie accompanies Nuno to his childhood home for the first time in 30 years, where he demonstrates how to play 'More Than Words' in the very bedroom where he composed it. The series continues with Mötley Crüe lead guitarist Mick Mars, Def Leppard powerhouse Phil Collen, three-time Grammy Award winner Steve Vai and more. 
 
Each episode delves into the personal stories and experiences that have shaped these legendary musicians, with the guitarists inviting Kylie into their homes, towns, and communities that are integral to their cultural identity. This series is a must-watch for rock fans, capturing emotional moments as these guitar virtuosos perform at their homes in iconic locations around the US.
