Forget the Christmas countdown, the Electric Picnic countdown has officially started as the first nine acts for 2026 are announced. Taking place in Stradbally, Co. Laois, Gorillaz, and Ireland's Fontaines D.C. will headline Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
EP 2026 follows on from 2025's event which saw Kneecap play their biggest ever gig, a one-off Cranberries reunion, and Santa’s pulled a few more names out of the bag for next year’s musical extravaganza. Joining Gorillaz and Fontaines D.C. are CMAT, Sombr, Zara Larsson, Skepta, Wunderhorse, Role Model and the very wonderful Geese.
It’s a first for Electric Picnic to welcome Gorillaz to Stradbally and a particular moment of pride to watch Fontaines D.C. move on up to the prestigious closing spot on Sunday night.
