Ten Dates in July and August 2026
To bring the graphic novel to life, spoken-word elements are infused into the concert. Danai Gurira of The Walking Dead fame – for which McCreary famously created a theme – Ryan Hurst, who has featured in two major projects that McCreary has scored, and Lee Pace all feature.
It all contributes to what promises to showcase McCreary’s journey so far, infusing elements from all of his previous projects and his own inspirations. The first chance for Europeans to experience the concert will be on 25 July in Dublin at the Opium. Then, the tour hops from the UK to Northern Europe.
Manchester, Glasgow, and London will host from 26 to 28 July. Eindhoven is next on the schedule, followed by the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and finally Helsinki on 7 August. Given the popularity of the shows, films, and more that he’s worked on, these tickets should sell well.
A Composer You Almost Certainly Know
The motif is as tied to the story as any of the lead actors, which is why it’s infused into the official games found at the UK casino. The Walking Dead series of slots is loaded with the characters from the show and bonuses that draw from its events, but it’s the opening theme that really sells them. With the motif, they sink fans into the setting.
Simplicity and making use of limited options have come to define some of McCreary’s most iconic tracks. On Battlestar Galactica, he created best-selling soundtracks by bucking the traditional orchestral approach. When it came to Black Sails, he created a theme inspired by sea shanties, helping to sink viewers into the setting.
Just as prominently, he’s composed the score for every season of Outlander to date, and even received an Emmy nomination for his work on the pilot in 2015. The Celtic-infused music is even going on its own global tour, starting in Scotland from the end of May this year.
Bear McCreary has amassed quite the collection of iconic scores and sounds, and now, fans in Europe will get to fully immerse themselves in a total live experience helmed by the composer himself with The Singularity.
